Another South Florida Chapter Dune Restoration Success
This was our first dune restoration of the 2009 year. It took place in Miami Beach in between 52 and 54 street and collins ave. We removed invasive scaveola plants and left it ready for planting new natives plants this summer. We were very lucky to have the support from the city of Miami Beach, the UM chapter of surfrider. Macy's employees and Sobe green also showed up and helped us out and many new members. Zephyrhills provided 10 cases of water and Wholefoods Market provided food and drinks.
